When you place it under your head, neck and shoulders, it disperses pressure avoiding any pinch points. Your shoulders and neck experience a deep release that transitions up toward the top of your skull.

Will it hurt? Yes. But only for a little in the beginning.
Each spike responds to tension in your body, so more tension = more sensation. The initial “Ouch!” you feel activates your body’s pain response and tells it to send happiness hormones and pain-relief chemicals to the area you’re targeting. If those spikes aren’t sharp enough – or you’re beyond relaxed already – you won’t feel much.

Love it!
I am in love with my Shakti pillow! It feels so good on my neck. I use it when laying on my Shakti mat but I also use it when I’m in bed. I lay on my side or my back to make sure all areas of my neck get to experience the sensation. I find that my neck feels more loose and relaxed after using it.
