Acupress Back & Belly Band
Soothing spikes for your back, belly, and busy life
The Acupress Back & Belly Band is the targeted tool that moves with you. It’s an ergonomic belt with a removable acupressure pad that relieves lower back and abdominal tension using our signature Shakti spikes.
- Release tension
- Relieve aches and pains
- Recover on the move
Attaching the spikes to the centre of the band releases your lower back. Shifting them to the strap relieves your belly.
The 2-stage tensioning system lets you adjust the intensity, and the low-profile silhouette hugs your natural contours without scratching them.
Wear it while sitting, driving, and moving through your day.
Made with our level 1 spikes.
Not suitable for lifting.

To find your perfect fit, stand relaxed and hold a soft measuring tape at your belly button, or the centre of your natural waistline. Circle it around your body to meet back at the start. Based on your measurement, select your size within our guide below:
Small: 65-79 cm
Medium: 80-99 cm
Large: 100-120 cm
It’s designed to sit snugly around your waist, covering the lumbar region (your lower back and abdomen), aligning with the natural curve of your spine. The bottom should rest on the top of your hips, providing support without being overly tight or restrictive. The exact positioning of how you wear it is up to you, but the right fit will give you the best results.
On your back
1. Release all of the straps so they hang freely.
2. With the spikes facing towards you, attach the acupressure pad to the centre of the band, on the soft loop strip.
3. Fit the belt to your waist by positioning the spikes on your lower back, then wrap the long inner fastening straps around your body, fastening them together at the centre of your belly. Adjust if necessary, so the spikes are positioned correctly for you. The fit should be snug but comfortable.
4. Adjust the pressure of the spikes with the short outer pressure straps. It is easier to adjust both sides at the same time. Pull forward on the straps to stretch the elastic and secure for the desired pressure. You can attach them high or low on the belt to achieve the right amount of pressure for your back.
On your belly
1. Release all of the straps so they hang freely.
2. Remove the acupressure pad from the centre of the band. With the spikes facing towards you, attach it to the soft loop strip on the long inner fastening strap (to your right).
3. Fit the belt to your waist by positioning the spikes on your belly, then wrap the band around your back, fastening the long inner fastening straps at the centre of your belly.
You can attach them high or low on the belt to achieve the right amount of pressure for your belly.
Wear the band with the acupressure pad facing your back or your belly for as long as feels comfortable. To feel the full effect, we recommend wearing it for 15-30 minutes at a time.
Skin-to-spike contact is best. If you’re having trouble with the initial sensation, loosen the pressure by releasing the short outer pressure straps.
Experiment with deep breaths to increase pressure without refastening the straps.
Remove the acupressure pad for support without spikes. You can wear the band without the acupressure pad for as long as is comfortable.
It’s designed to be worn under clothes while standing, sitting, driving, and doing most daily activities. It is not recommended to be worn during vigorous exercise.
You may choose to adjust the band each time you wear it (when switching from back to belly or seated to standing) for the perfect fit.
We get it, buying a belt that presses thousands of spikes into your back is tricky when you can’t try it first. If Shakti isn’t right for you, you can return or exchange yours within 60 days. That being said, only 1 in every 271 customers returns their Shakti Mat, and that’s a mat covered in spikes.
We’re not relaxed until you are. Everything we make is guaranteed from day one, and we’ll fix or replace anything faulty on arrival.

RELIEF THAT DOESN’T REQUIRE LYING STILL
The discreet low-profile design can be worn seated, standing, commuting – even driving – without anyone knowing you feel like a million quid. No more lying down to Shakti. No undressing completely, either.
REMOVABLE ACUPRESSURE PAD FOR BACK OR BELLY TENSION
Target tension where you need to. Position the spikes on the rear of the band to release your lower back, or on the front inner fastening strap to relieve your belly. Remove them entirely for lumbar and postpartum support.
2-STAGE TENSIONING = PERSONALISED RELIEF
One set of straps secures the band against your body and holds it comfortably in place. Another set controls the pressure of the spikes to release tension – attach them high or low on the belt to achieve the right release.

We don't recommend the use of acupressure tools during pregnancy or postpartum.
Upon removal of the acupressure pad, the Acupress Back and Belly Band will become safe for use throughout pregnancy and postpartum (similar to a traditional lumbar band).
Please see your doctor to discuss whether it is safe to use the Acupress Back and Belly Band with or without the removable acupressure pad during your pregnancy and postpartum journey.

In the beginning it feels like a few thousand spikes pressing against your back or belly, but after a few minutes, your body softens and a warm feeling takes over.
Having the support and adjustability of a 2-stage tensioning system lets you find your ‘point’ of relaxation by independently adjusting the straps to your preference.
Intensifying the experience by applying more pressure can feel uncomfortable in the beginning, but the payoff is worth it.
Ease pressure off, or forgo the spikes entirely for a much more supportive experience.

The Acupress Back & Belly Band is made with our signature level 1 spikes.
Why? Because wrapping spikes is different to lying on them. You can adjust the intensity with compression as opposed to relying on gravity alone. Perfect whether you want to increase the intensity of each spike, or relax with a softer sensation.
-
Where acupuncture uses needles to pierce the skin, acupressure uses spikes to press against it.
The key difference with the Acupress Back & Belly Band is that you can stimulate multiple acupoints in as many seconds as it takes to wrap yourself up, and you can adjust the intensity to your level of pressure.
