Will it hurt? Yes. But only for a little in the beginning.
Each spike responds to tension in your body, so more tension = more sensation. The initial “Ouch!” you feel activates your body’s pain response and tells it to send happiness hormones and pain-relief chemicals to the area you’re targeting. If those spikes aren’t sharp enough – or you’re beyond relaxed already – you won’t feel much.
After a few minutes, the tingling sensation fades into a deep, relaxing warmth. The redness is purely a circulation boost. You might even fall asleep.
There are two things to consider when looking at intensities:

Evening unwind
Becoming part of my evening ritual - lying on my bed using the acupressure mat- which seems to vary daily how easy or hard it is- and listening to the guided meditations that come free with the app that’s linked to the purchase .
I certainly sleep better the nights I settle this way!

Great for my muscle tension!
I tried Level 2 first but didn’t find much of a difference between it and Level 1. Level 3 is perfect; I can handle it on the bed but there’s still room to move to the floor if and when I get used to it. It helps with the tension in my shoulders and I also use it when meditating and find that it really helps me focus. I’m pleased with my purchase.
