Shakti Education Centre
The heart of our giving and the soul of our business – the Shakti Education Centre is at the heart of all of our giving. It’s grown from a donated laptop into a fully-fledged classroom that helps kids back into mainstream education. And guess what? It’s working.
This year we’re increasing funding to provide new staff, supplies, and wraparound support for the community. In real terms this looks like medical camps, water purifiers, deworming tablets and sanitary pads for girls.
Tree-Nation
Responsible tree planting supports life, restores balance, and revitalises our natural world. With Tree-Nation, it also empowers developing communities. Your purchase plants one tree and funds its upkeep by locals who get paid fairly for their work. You’ll be able to track the progress of your tree, and watch it grow in time.
Safe Water Now
In 2023 we helped fund an initial study into the effectiveness of a unique water purification system. Right now we’re in a state of “watch this space” as Evidence Action install a further 400 water purification systems to prove their worth (again).
If the study is a success, the Indian government is ready to invest. If it is rolled out nationally, it may amount to the most significant contribution we have made to humanity, impacting hundreds of millions of lives.
